A place to make things & know people

Local 606 is a community space we're working to open in Tucson.

The idea: 3 things under one roof: an all-day café, events and programming, and private studios for people who make things.

Make things here

We're planning around 20 private studios, many close to 400 square feet.

The building has good bones: lots of natural light, original 1960s character, and rooms that are genuinely different from each other. Some are bigger, some are brighter, some are just going to be somebody's immediate favorite.

We're picturing painters, photographers, designers, tattoo artists, writers, makers, and plenty of people whose work doesn't fit in one category.

Studio Priority List

$250, fully refundable.

Your deposit holds your place in line. When studios and pricing are set, we'll invite people to choose in the order deposits came in.

Change your mind? It's refundable any time before you sign a studio agreement. If the project doesn't move forward, you get it back in full.

Café & community

Come for coffee. Stay for whatever's going on.

We're planning an all-day café surrounded by things worth leaving the house for: workshops, markets, music, screenings, open studios, pop-ups, and things someone brings us that we'd never have thought of ourselves.

We want it to be a place you plan to go, and a place you just end up.

You don't need a studio to belong here.
